Motherless Daughters

Came across this today and loved it.  Still miss my mom everyday, even though it’s been almost 19 years.  Love you mom!

  1. Thanks for sharing this….and how strange that I read this after having significant and random thoughts of my mom today. I also heard two songs in a row that I used to listen to in her car and sing to me on the way home….messages being sent I think :).

    1. It showed up in Parker’s Facebook feed, go figure! I’m so overwhelmed with Benny that sometimes I forget about her too. It was a good read.

  2. Thanks for sharing this! It is hard every day without my mother & mother-in-law around but, on Mother’s Day it’s especially hard for both Chris & I. I have no mother figures at all in my life & it does feel like such a void. I hate that my girls won’t grow up with their grandmother’s by their side. 😦

    1. Lori, I think that’s the worst part! I mean, I always miss my mom, but it hit me super hard once I had kids. That absence in Darcy’s life kills me as I grew up less than a mile from my grandmother and took the bus to her house after school everyday. Darcy doesn’t know what she’s missing, but I do and it makes me so sad for her. 😦
